1. Who We Are

Alore Clinic (“Alore Clinic,” “we,” “us,” “our”) is a dental clinic based in Tirana, Albania, regulated by the Urdhri i Stomatologut të Shqipërisë (Albanian Order of Dentists). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, share, and protect personal information when you visit aloreclinic.com (the “Site”), submit an enquiry or assessment request, or otherwise interact with us, including through our advertising on Meta platforms (Facebook and Instagram).

If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA), UK, or another jurisdiction with data protection laws, additional rights described in Section 9 apply to you.

2. Information We Collect

a) Information you provide directly Contact and enquiry details: name, email address, phone number, postal address, treatment of interest, and any message you submit via our contact form, “Request an Assessment” form, WhatsApp, or email. Dental records and images: X-rays, intraoral photographs, scans, or other diagnostic images you voluntarily send us (e.g. via “Send Your Dental X-ray”) to support remote assessment. This is health-related information and is treated as a special/sensitive category of data (see Section 5). Correspondence: records of calls, emails, and messages between you and our team.
b) Information collected automatically Technical and usage data: IP address, browser type, device information, pages visited, referring URL, and time spent on the Site, collected via cookies and similar technologies (see Section 6).
Advertising and analytics identifiers: information collected through the Meta Pixel and similar tools when you interact with our Site or our Facebook/Instagram ads, such as button clicks, page views, and form-start/form-complete events.

Important: We do not transmit health, medical, or treatment-related information (including anything about dental conditions, X-rays, scans, or clinical details) to Meta or any advertising platform. Only standard website-interaction events (e.g. page view, contact form submitted) are shared for advertising measurement purposes, and never alongside sensitive health details.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information collected to:

  • Respond to enquiries and schedule or coordinate consultations and treatment;
  • Review submitted X-rays, photographs, or scans to provide a preliminary remote assessment;
  • Communicate with you about your treatment plan, appointments, and aftercare;
  • Operate, maintain, and improve the Site;
  • Measure and improve the performance of our advertising, including Meta ad campaigns, using aggregated, non-sensitive interaction data;
  • Comply with legal, regulatory, and dental professional obligations;
Send you marketing communications where you have consented, with the ability to opt out at any time.

4. Legal Basis for Processing (EEA/UK Visitors)

Where applicable data protection law requires a legal basis, we rely on:

  • Consent — for marketing communications, non-essential cookies, and submission of health-related images/records;
  • Contract — to respond to your enquiry and provide requested dental services;
  • Legitimate interests — to maintain Site security, improve our services, and measure advertising performance, balanced against your rights;

Legal obligation — to comply with dental, healthcare, and record-keeping regulations in Albania.

5. Special Category (Health) Data

Any dental X-rays, photographs, scans, or clinical information you send us constitutes special category (health) data. We collect this only with your explicit consent (by voluntarily submitting it to us) and use it solely to assess your case and coordinate care. This information:

  • Is stored securely and access is restricted to clinical and administrative staff who need it to assist you;
  • Is never shared with advertising platforms, data brokers, or used to build advertising audiences;
  • Is retained only as long as necessary for clinical, legal, or record-keeping purposes (see Section 8)

6. Cookies and Advertising Technologies

Our Site uses cookies and similar technologies, including:

Essential cookies — required for the Site to function (e.g. form submission, security).
Analytics cookies — to understand how visitors use the Site.
Advertising cookies, including the Meta Pixel — to measure the effectiveness of our Facebook/Instagram advertising and to show relevant ads to people who have visited our Site. The Meta Pixel may collect information such as pages viewed, buttons clicked, and general device/browser data. This data is processed by Meta Platforms, Inc. in accordance with Meta’s own Data Policy and Business Tools Terms.

We do not create Meta Custom Audiences or Lookalike Audiences using any health, medical, or treatment-related information.

  • Meta Platforms, Inc., limited to non-sensitive interaction/advertising data described in Sections 2 and 6;

Authorities, where required by law, court order, or to protect the rights, safety, or property of Alore Clinic, our patients, or others.

Where we transfer data internationally (e.g. to service providers or Meta based outside Albania), we take reasonable steps to ensure appropriate safeguards are in place.

8. Data Retention

We retain personal and clinical information only as long as necessary to:

  • Provide the services you requested;
  • Meet clinical record-keeping obligations under applicable dental regulations;
  • Resolve disputes and enforce agreements;
  • Comply with legal and tax obligations.
Enquiry and marketing data not converted into a patient relationship is retained for a limited period and then deleted or anonymised, unless you request earlier deletion.

9. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to:

  • Access the personal information we hold about you;
  • Request correction of inaccurate information;
  • Request deletion of your information (“right to be forgotten”), subject to our clinical record-keeping obligations;
  • Object to or restrict certain processing, including marketing and advertising use;

Our Site and services are intended for adults capable of making their own healthcare decisions. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children without the involvement of a parent or legal guardian.
